Jay LaBonte
President
Mr. LaBonte is responsible for all aspects of the MV Market Place's
operations, with a focus on the development of the sites growth strategy.
Mr. LaBonte has over 30 years of experience managing teams of all sizes in
various industries. He started his career as a programmer/analyst in the
aerospace manufacturing industry using a Microdata 4000 system writing in
RPL 81.
Over the next three decades, Mr. LaBonte has managed IT teams in
various business disciplines such as real estate, restaurant management,
cemetery management, oil and gas ventures, banking and marina management.
Throughout his career, Mr. LaBonte has been invited to write many
articles for various magazines and business journals about the Internet
and child Internet safety, inventory control systems, and check fraud
prevention. As an author, Mr. LaBonte wrote "The Parents Guide to the
Internet", "The Truth about Check Fraud", and his latest award willing
book, "Your Guiding Genius: Building a World Class team"
Mr. LaBonte holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems and
is a Certified Employment Law Specialist.

Mike Mapes - Welland Company, Inc.
Cultural Attaché
Mr. Mapes is our Cultural Attaché and is an advocate for MV Market Place.
Mr. Mapes has over eighteen years of high-level experience in the
insurance industry. Mike's analytical skills and industry knowledge and
contacts make him the perfect choice to champion the goals of the MV Market
Place.
With a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Georgia Tech and
programming/OS expertise, Mike understands the needs of the Multivalue
community, and the benefits MV Market Place offers. Welland is a
full-service software development firm. The Welland team members can
assist you in developing new application systems, or help you modify your
existing ones and provide you with installation and support services.

Dave Peters - Rocket Software, Inc
U2 Vendor Liaison
Mr. Peters is our U2 Vendor Liaison and serves as the MV Market Place
contact for issues involving U2 products.Mr. Peters provides product direction for the U2 Data servers, UniData and UniVerse, wIntegrate and the .NET products offered by U2. He has
been part of the U2 team for the past three years. Before that, he was a Tech
Support manager for IBM Informix and DB2 products. Mr. Peters holds a Bachelor of
Science degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University and a Master
of Science degree in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado.
Rocket Software's U2 comprises UniData and UniVerse, two extended
relational databases with integrated development environments designed for
rapid, cost-effective vertical application development. The products are
embedded in solutions provided by our partners and used by thousands of
organizations from small to medium businesses to large enterprises.

Bob Markowitz - BlueFinity, Inc
BlueFinity/jBase Vendor Liaison
Mr. Markowitz is our jBase and BlueFinity Vendor Liaison and serves as the
MV Market Place contact point for issues involving jBase and BlueFinity.
Bob Markowitz has been in the MultiValue community since its early days.
He began selling integrated manufacturing and distribution application
software for one of the early Microdata VARs.
He was the IBM Product Marketing Manager for the IBM mainframe
implementation of Pick from the Ultimate Corporation.
He joined Sequoia Computer Systems selling fault
tolerant computers to the Pick Marketplace. Sequoia was purchased by
General Automation where he was involved with major account sales.
Bob is currently the Sales Director for the
Americas for both BlueFinity International and jBASE International. The
companies are members of the Mpower1 group of companies. |
